It's interesting to read my introduction from my first class at Purdue and compare to the Introduction Blog for EDCI 569 Introduction to eLearning Design. I reveal a bit more about myself and my job role has changed somewhat. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Hello! Please call me Tai. I live in Northern California. I graduated eons ago from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA with a BFA in Film/Video. I am currently employed at Kaiser Permanente (KP) as a Sr. Learning Consultant on the ELS Content Management Team. I started this job one month prior to beginning the MS Ed program at Purdue last January. During the day, I train new web-based training (WBT) developers on how to work with the content team and the process to get their WBTs into the LMS. I get to do content conversion for those who do not have the time or money to spend on developing their own work (real simple quizzes and content presentations). I also consult on how the LMS can help their department with their training needs and goals. My job is very satisfying and I hope to expand my knowledge and skills in this class to take on more complex projects.
I’ve revealed a few things about myself to my classmates in previous classes like, I ride a motorcycle, I sit on a non-profit organization board, and I’m married and have a dog and two cats. I don’t think I ever mentioned that I was born in Bangkok, Thailand and immigrated to Minnesota at the age of four! I was a tomboy, climbed trees, played ice hockey, and learned to throw a football and baseball… that was my adoptive father’s doing. I love to cook, interested in art, which is something I got from my mother. One very oddball thing is, I love reading about the discovery and exploration of the Northwest Passage starting with Martin Forbisher in1576 and all the subsequent expeditions into the Arctic and Antarctic. I guess I must miss Minnesota and the winters.
I look forward to this class and getting to know you!
Best, Tai
